The expected time frame for the application process is 6 months. The first stage of the document collection can differ in length depending on the applicant’s ability to gather the documents on time. Once an individual’s application for citizenship by investment is approved, an economic citizen can apply for a passport at the Passport Office.

The passport application process is separate from the citizenship by investment process. It requires the applicant to present several documents, including a certified copy of the applicant’s Certificate of Naturalization, issued to an economic citizen at the end of the citizenship by investment process.

An economic citizen can appoint a third party to apply on his or her behalf. Applications for a passport can be submitted as soon as citizenship is received.
